Black Cohosh May Reduce Risk of Breast Cancer
A recent study of 1500 women found that those who were taking Black Cohosh (about 7% of the women) were 61% less likely to contract breast cancer than those who were not.
Previous studies have shown that black cohosh can block cell growth and it is also an antioxidant, and has been shown to have anti-estrogen effects as well. Generally, women use Black Cohosh to cope with menopausal symptoms, but this most recent development is certain to lead to more uses.
Before taking any herbs you should always consult an herbalist.
