Aconite

Aconite – Aconite, commonly named Monkshood, grows in the mountainous regions of Europe, Russia and Central Asia. The plant produces clusters of bluish violet flowers that hand from the stem like monks’ cowls and are highly toxic. In very small doses, aconite produces mental and physical restlessness and tissue inflammation. Homeopaths prescribe Aconite for patients who seem distressed or fearful and complain of thirst and unbearable aches and pains that accompany their illness.
Aconite is used for such ailments as angina, arrhythmia, arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, colds and flu, eye inflammations, laryngitis, sore throat, and middle ear infections.
