Vitamin AVitamin A helps to maintain good vision, prevents night-blindness and promotes healthy skin, hair and mucous membranes in the nose, throat, respiratory system and digestive system. Vitamin A also aids in the growth, repair and maintenance of body tissues and, at the same time, helps form strong bones, teeth and gums. Vitamin A is fat soluble and, as a result, is stored in the body for a long time. As a result, supplements of Vitamin A are not generally recommended.
